Prof. ÖZ conducted postdoctoral research on mucus clearance in respiratory airways at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), USA, supported by a TÜBİTAK NATO B1 scholarship. During his two-year stay at UNR, he also taught various undergraduate and graduate-level courses. Upon his return to Turkey, he held academic positions at Gaziantep University, Fatih University, Üsküdar University, Istanbul Aydın University, and Iğdır University.
Throughout his career, Prof. ÖZ has served as a principal investigator or researcher in several nationally funded projects supported by TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB, ISTKA, and BAP. In addition to his academic career, he has provided management and R&D consultancy to various companies, contributing to the advancement of industrial and technological applications.
His current research interests include mechanical vibrations, perturbation techniques, differential equations, nonlinear dynamics, finite element analysis, signal processing, artificial intelligence, non-Euclidean geometry, and university competence analysis.
Prof. Halil Rıdvan ÖZ received his B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 1992. He earned both his M.Sc. (1995) and Ph.D. (1999) degrees in the field of Machine Theory and Dynamics from Celal Bayar University. During his graduate studies, he conducted research on the nonlinear vibrations of curved beams and the vibrations of axially moving continua. He received his Associate Professorship title in 2000.
